i read all of the chapters (11 at the time) over the course of one night when i had a midterm the next morning. the first 5 chapters or so focus on kind of world-building with rey and her padawans, but just keep reading because after that….mannnnn it gets hot and heavy fast. but when kylo starts getting closer and closer to catching up to her (and it becomes clear that this is endangering her students/the resistance), rey decides to take matters into her own hands and turns herself over to him in hopes of distracting him enough that he won’t notice poe & co. rey, in the meantime, has been gathering up padawans of her own. kylo’s been chasing rey across the galaxy and he’s thirsty as helldesperate to find her. "See? Already you are acclimatizing so well to married life." Should you cross the line, it is they who will suffer for it. "Now you are the Chume'da, and the Chume'da belongs to her people. "That might have been the case back when you were a scavenger on that pitiful scrap heap of a planet, but now?" His sardonic gaze flickered over her silk robes and the jewels woven through her elaborate braids. "If you allow?" She wrenched her arm out of his viselike grasp, batting his hand away for good measure. "I hardly expect your disposition to sweeten, but I will be damned if I allow my future Empress to behave in a manner that reflects poorly on me and on the First Order!"
